Trained as a psychometrist, Marie Algieri-Goldgrub did not take up photography until 2012. Marie has an inquisitive mind and desire to see and photograph the environment around her. Through photography, she’s discovered that her self-expression and creativity have come alive. She creates images that express her imagination, subconscious thoughts, and personal interpretation of the scene. Marie uses photography to capture as well as create realities. It is her way of communicating ideas and stories.
Marie is constantly challenging her artistic growth by photographing a variety of subjects. Regardless of what the subject is, there is always a hint of psychology in her photos. All is never as it seems. There is always an opportunity to see beyond the obvious, since there are many interpretations as to what the image is about. The image reveals as much about the photographer as it does the viewer.
